Katie and John review Russ’ interview with Pat Fant, co-founder of RFC Media. RFC Media creates custom Internet radio stations for streaming online to promote a brand. A retailer can have their music mix broadcast through a retail store location and, if customers enjoy the mix, they can log onto the retailer’s website and continue listening. Could this be the new face of radio? Oooh, and we have a surprise musical guest. (“We really didn’t want it to get out!”)

It’s easy money if you can the work, and who cares what people think when you’re famous anyway?! AAAURGH! What are they THINKING?! Dwight Yoakum’s Chicken Rings? Hulk Hogan’s Frozen Hulkster Cheeseburgers?! Jimmy Buffett margaritas makes perfect sense, but much too often, the endorsing celebrity and the endorsed product are far from the perfect fit. We’ve got some great examples of the not-so-perfect endorsements. (“Nothing like having a product that matches your hair!”)

Katie and Esther interview Freddy O’Pry, regional franchise developer of Massage Envy properties in the Dallas and Houston regions. When Massage Envy began its expansion, opening 600 stores (the company employs more than 17,000 licensed therapists), many who were not working as therapists returned to the industry. It’s a great business concept and a fun place to work. Down economy? Not from where Massage Envy stands. Sales are up 24 percent. (“There’s a lot worse ways to make a living than to have people tell you what a wonderful experience they’ve had.”)
