All About Nutrition (or not!)
Katie Laird and Esther Steinfeld present a slice of magic on the Overtime Show. We’ve got the good stuff, like FOOD and what’s in it. In the news this week: nutritional value and non-nutritional value. There’s a new product out there that YOU should know about. Actually, there are several wild new creations. Even KFC has a crusty, new sandwich that, well, doesn’t bacon make everything better?! And a move on organic cosmetics is afoot in Austin. Whole Foods is taking a big step to make sure their organics, are! Then there’s our new links of the week. (“To be honest, I will eat that stuff sometimes.”)
Be Interactive and Get Innovative
Interactive Strategies, a full-day conference to be held in Houston on September 16, 2010, presents innovative concepts and online advertising technologies. The conference is hosted by the Houston Interactive Marketing Association, and promises to give attendees a close-up experience with social media, search engine marketing and networking with industry movers and shakers. (“It will put you ahead of the game and you’ll know more than the guy next to you who didn’t go.”)
Does the Early Bird Really Get the Worm?
Why have the ambitious “up early” dudes traditionally been deemed the most productive? Obviously, people in different demographics prefer conflicting hours, but what exactly constitutes being an early bird? Katie and Esther dish on whether morning peeps or night animals are most likely to be successful. And, as an employer, how can you use this information? (“I work with programmers who like to work in dark caves and would prefer to be on the Internet at 3am.”)
