Leisa: Hello I'm Leisa Holland-Nelson, and welcome to another edition of Women Mean Business where we're going to take you up close and personal with extraordinary women doing extraordinary things. My guest today is Shushana Castle co-author of this incredible book, Rethink Food: 100 Doctors Can't Be Wrong. Shushana welcome to Women Mean Business.

Shushana: Thank you so much for having me.

Leisa: Well I'm excited. I want you to tell us all about Rethink Food.

Shushana: The book Rethink Food is a consortium of over 100 doctors, mostly medical doctors, experts, scientist, and research specialist discussing diseases as they relate to food. So the 100 doctors are from Stanford, Harvard, Yale, from as far away as Germany, New Zealand, and England all discussing how we have in our hands to be able to take charge of our body to keep our bodies healthy by preventing diseases even reversing diseases completely by our food choices. So that's the depth, the crux of the book addressing cancer to Alzheimer's, diabetes, women's issues. We've got four doctors that discuss prostate cancer. We've got a for kids chapter with about six pediatricians discussing feeding our kids right today, because it's very confusing, and the pandemic today is that we're living with diseases as if it's the new normal, but it isn't. So Rethink Food's doctors give us the formula very simply as to how to keep our bodies healthy, maintain vitality through simply our food choices, through breakfast, lunch, and dinner, what we decide.

Leisa: So I can rethink the way I eat, and heal my high blood pressure?

Shushana: Doctors give us the formula very simply as to how to keep our bodies healthy, maintain vitality through simply our food choices, through breakfast, lunch, and dinner, what we decide.

Leisa: So I can rethink the way I eat, and heal my high blood pressure?

Shushana: Yes absolutely. So many of these doctors have thousands upon thousands of testimonies from their own patients, and about 20 of these doctors even have their own stories about needing open heart surgery, whereas they opted not to have open heart surgery, and within weeks literally brought all of their measurements back to normal, and eliminated, and avoided completely surgeries, and medications.

Leisa: I'm very excited. I can't wait to read the book. Thank you for being here.

Shushana: It's such a pleasure.
