Video and Full Interview Text

Leisa: Hi, I'm Leisa Holland-Nelson and welcome to another edition of "Women Mean Business" where we're going to take you up close and personal with extraordinary women doing extraordinary things. My guest today is Meg Toups, CEO of BlueSky IT Partners. Meg, welcome to Women Mean Business.

Meg: Hello!

Leisa: I want you to imagine that we have a young businesswoman at the table with us today. And she would love to achieve the success that you've achieved in business. What advice would you give her?

Meg: Well, I would tell her, "Find her passion" first of all; fine what she loves to do because you have to find that. Then, once she finds that, I would say, "Find a mentor or find someone that she can look up to." And it might not be with what she does but it's somebody - a woman - that's successful in what they do that can give her some advice and direction. And I would probably say, "Have some tenacity. There's gonna be times when things don't go your way and that's life. But, you've gotta be able to walk through that and go through that. And, the more you fail, the better you'll be. And that's the hardest thing to learn; is that a failure is not a failure. It's just a chance to do it again. Take that in stride and find a mentor and find your passion."

Leisa: Very good! Thank you very much. There you have it! Extraordinary advice from an extraordinary woman. I'm Leisa Holland-Nelson, President and Co-Founder of ContentActive.
