Video and Full Interview Text

Karen: Hello, this is the PKF Texas Entrepreneur's Playbook. I'm Karen:. I'm the host and co-founder for the Playbook, and today, I'm here with Rose Morales, the general manager of the King Ranch Saddle Shop. Welcome to the Playbook again.

Rose: Thank you.

Karen: We appreciate you coming back, and what we want to talk to you about today is I know February is coming up, and it's rodeo time. So with the King Ranch being related to that concept, tell us what that means to the King Ranch and Rodeo in Houston.

Rose: Well, it's been wonderful. The Houston Rodeo is the largest rodeo in the world. We have an exhibit that we present in the exhibit hall. It's a shopping area. We have a custom built building that houses all of our products. We sell our luggage, handbags, business accessories, outdoor gear to the 2.3 million people that walk through the rodeo.

Karen: Wow, fantastic. Rose, I mean that's really interesting because people that know about the King Ranch, they want access. And so sounds like you've made it possible for people to really access all of the things that would remind us of the King Ranch. How does that work?

Rose: It most definitely is such a diverse program to be at the Houston Rodeo, and we have such a high volume of clientele in this area, so it seemed to be the perfect fit.

Karen: Well fantastic. Well we're looking forward to seeing the King Ranch Saddle Shop at the rodeo. We appreciate it very much. Thank you for being with us today.

Rose: Thank you.

Karen: This has been another Thought Leader Production brought to you by PKF Texas, the Entrepreneur's Playbook. So tune in next week for another chapter.
