Leisa: Hello. I'm Leisa Holland-Nelson and welcome to another edition of Women Mean Business where we're going to take you up close and personal with extraordinary women doing extraordinary things. My guest today is Loretta Cross, Vice President for Energy and Environment of Charles River and Associates. Charles River is a new opening here in Houston. Loretta, this is a giant job? How'd you get here?

Loretta: Ya' know Leisa, that's interesting. I think women always say that it's just hard work. They do it by hard work and that is true, but there's also a piece of it where I've realized that part of it was my network, my connections and through that network and connections I actually got really smart. I listened to people and I learned a lot about the energy world. Being in Houston how can you not. It's so phenomenal and interesting that from an intellectual standpoint it really kept me focused and poised.

Leisa: so you just told me my favorite thing. You said that listening was important and I think great leaders listen so thank you very much.
