Episode 378: Combining Passions
They want to turn wine into water! The BusinessMakers interview Stephen and Allison Lewis, founders of Tithe Wines. In our vignettes, Greg Price visits with John Kleb of Sikich Technology; and Leisa Holland-Nelson visits with Loretta Cross of Charles River Associates.
Russ and Leisa present the show about the make-it-happen entrepreneurs. We support those doing well by doing good. Includes: The BusinessMakers Quote of the Week—a painful truism from American journalist Herbert Bayard Swope; This Week in Business History includes extreme patriotism like the Stars & Stripes, Uncle Sam, Geronimo’s Cadillac and eBay; and the Jargon Challenge Round—trendy technospeak that YOU should know.
Stephen & Allison Lewis, founders of Tithe Wines, are hoping to “turn wine into water.” They are outsourcing making wine, tithing from the profits, then investing in community-based water solutions in developing countries. It’s truly an entrepreneurial pursuit, with Stephen coming home from his day job to work on his winemaking passion.
Women Mean Business host Leisa Holland-Nelson, president of ContentActive, visits with Loretta Cross, VP for the Energy & Environment Practice of consulting firm Charles River Associates.
Greg Price discusses Microsoft Dynamics’ NAV-X software with John Kleb, Director of Operations for Sikich Technology.
