Leisa: Hello, I'm Leisa Holland-Nelson, and welcome to another edition of Women Mean Business, where we're going to take you up close and personal with extraordinary women doing extraordinary things. My guest today is Barbara Duganier, Senior Executive and head of North American Financial Business Services for Accenture. It's a whole lot. Barbara, tell us, again, exactly what areas you're the head of?

Barbara: Well, really in a nutshell, it's helping companies in the areas of people process and technology achieve high performance. So the finance function of finance organization is very key to companies succeeding.

Leisa: How did you get to this extraordinary position?

Barbara: Well, actually, a 33-year career started with - the first 23 years was at Arthur Anderson. I spent about a decade in audit, a decade in consulting, and then I was the global Chief Financial Officer for Anderson Worldwide. So that was a finance responsibility over about 2,000 finance people, for all the functions, and then I took about a year, and I was the finance transformation lead as an independent consultant for Duke Energy, North America, here in Houston.

Leisa: Wow.

Barbara: And then I was recruited by Accenture, and I joined Accenture in 2004, into the outsourcing business.

Leisa: So always in the accounting consulting business, and pretty much a straight ride to the top.

Barbara: Yeah, well, it was a lot of hard work and a lot of dues.

Leisa: Yeah.

Barbara: But certainly it's been great, in terms of the experience of doing - working with companies, travelling the world, 'cause I've had a lot of global roles, and being able to see a lot of different things up close and personal.

Leisa: Fabulous. Congratulations. There you have it.

Barbara: Thank you.
