Danguole Altman - Vapogenix

Russ visits with Danguole Altman, co-founder of Vapogenix, an early stage pain management company. The company is developing a new class of localized, non-narcotic pain medication that will work directly on the affected nerves, having fewer side effects because it is not absorbed by the entire body. It all began with doctors at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center seeking to use existing drugs more efficiently to better manage pain without the threat of addiction; the Vapogenix technology is now in the early stages of research. Even in medicine, innovation is entrepreneurial.
