WMB host Leisa Holland-Nelson, president of ContentActive, interviews Marcia Faschingbauer, founder, president and CEO of niche transportation company Excargo Services Inc.
Leisa: Hello. I'm Leisa Holland-Nelson, and welcome to another edition of Women Mean Business, where we're going to take you up close and personal with extraordinary women doing extraordinary things. My guest today is Marcia Faschingbauer, Founder and President and CEO of Excargo Services, Incorporated, a transmodal trucking company. Marcia, imagine we have an aspiring entrepreneur with us today. What advice would you give her as she starts her own company?
Marcia: Well Leisa, my advice would be first to plan, plan, plan, plan. Think about what it is that your dream is, what the ramifications might be, what do you know, what do you need to know? And set about creating a blueprint for your business. It is so much easier to do all that before you have all the moving balls of employees and debt and customers and all that sort of thing. The more you can do to imagine and anticipate what it is, what success looks like and go about planning it and creating it, I think the more successful you'll be.
Leisa: Marcia, I think that's great advice. Thank you so much. There you have it, extraordinary advice from another extraordinary woman. I'm Leisa Holland-Nelson, President and Cofounder of Content Active, Houston's leading web and mobile technology company. You can find me at contentactive.com, or follow me on Twitter @lhnelson. We'll be back again next week with another edition of Women Mean Business.
