Steve McKee, McKee Wallwork Cleveland

Esther Steinfeld visits with Steve McKee, the founder of marketing communications firm McKee Wallwork Cleveland. McKee’s book, “When Growth Stalls: How It Happens, Why You’re Stuck and What to Do About It,” is a story of lessons learned and lessons applied. McKee works with clients who are trying to find “their brand voice,” but are stalled. Fear, he says, is the greatest obstacle to growth.

Flashback - Phil Morabito, Pierpont Communications

Russ flashes back to his visit with the founder of Pierpont Communications. Morabito has a message for all of us: What’s the best defense in a tough economy? A good offense. Market hard! Turn up the volume! Be visible when others aren’t. When the market drops, get out there and get closer to your customers. As the competition pulls back, you should become much more aggressive. It’s worked for him. Morabito has grown his company to one of the largest communication firms in the Southwest, with locations throughout the entire State of Texas.
