Summary:
When Troy Williams founded Questia Media Inc. in 1998, Google had not yet begun its digitization effort; Williams wrestled print copyrights and scanning processes to create the first online library. Students in 200 countries now have access to Questia's 70,000 books and nearly 2 million articles. In 2007, he left Questia to develop PeoplePad Inc., an early-stage Internet company located in Austin. PeoplePad is still in stealth mode, but Williams describes it as "a gargantuan project" being built on semantic Web technologies. Russ and Williams discuss grandiose visions, building and financing a company, and trying to change the world.
