Qik, “a little piece of software,” lets contributors use their cell phone to stream video live directly to the Qik website or to their Facebook and MySpace. Also, users can use their cell phones like a camcorder and then manage their recorded streams through individual profile pages at Qik.com. Qik.com is set up to be a platform moreso than a destination website. It’s a fascinating new technology with incredible potential.
