Flashback to October 2005 when two local entrepreneurs and media moguls, Russ Capper and John Beddow, interviewed each other. Beddow, once a wanna-be concert pianist, gave up the pressure of performance for the pressure of the advertising and newspaper industry. Capper, a science buff, built a real estate business with a browser-based technology—and promptly ended up in legal battles that caught the attention of the FTC and Department of Justice.
