Paul was a pleasure to talk with. His description of growing up in an entrepreneurial family is great. His grandfather is one of the AFLAC founders, and his dad is presently the Chairman and CEO. And the stories about the meteoric rise in AFLAC name recognition triggered by the selection of the famous AFLAC duck creative are sensational. Paul describes how there was a competing, more conservative alternative to the duck, which makes one wonder where they would be today had they chosen the other, safer option.
